Starting Focus
We’ll begin by exploring Jan’s newest work:
* 20 EMBODIED PRACTICES for HEALING TRAUMA & ADDICTION USING THE FELT SENSE POLYVAGAL MODEL based on her newest book.

Series Development
* Monthly sessions facilitated by Jan Winhall, occasionally featuring guest specialists
* Strong emphasis on participant engagement and practical application
* Opportunity to experience and integrate these embodied practices within our supportive community

The Felt Sense Polyvagal Model™: A Revolutionary Approach
This paradigm-shifting perspective views addiction not as a disorder but as an adaptive response to regulate the autonomic nervous system. Breaking away from traditional medicalized approaches, Jan’s model honors the body’s wisdom while integrating cutting-edge neuroscience.

The Felt Sense Polyvagal Model creates a path toward liberation from shame and pathologization. Instead, it offers deep embodied listening and understanding of our responses to trauma. By integrating Stephen Porges’s polyvagal theory with Eugene Gendlin’s felt sense approach, this bottom-up methodology provides accessible somatic practices that help rewire the nervous system and promote healing.

These practices can be completed individually or with a felt sense partner within our peer support community, creating multiple pathways for integration and growth.
